Fall is Here

Fall is hear in the Keys, and everything is starting to slow down.  The everyday hustle and bustle of guide season is coming to an end, and the time off is welcomed.  I actually get a chance to go and fish for myself this time of the year instead of watching others fish from the back of the boat all of the time.

Fall is my favorite season down here in the Keys.  The weather is consistent (hurricanes excluded) and the fish are happy trying to get fat before winter shows up.  The fly fishing for permit and bonefish is great, and the Everglades park red fishing can be phenomenal.  Most of the lobster crowds are gone, and the water is peaceful once again.
